Blessed Are the Mourners!

“Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” (Matt 5:4). Christ said this as part of the Beatitudes (Matt 5:3-10)—eight attitudes/actions that will be in the lives of those who are truly part of the Kingdom of Heaven. They are the poor in spirit, the meek, the ones who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and the ones who are persecuted for righteousness sake. Book Review: Asa's Allegories

Asa’s Allegories is a wonderful book written by Brian Anderson. In this book, Brian uses everyday stories with his daughter to teach spiritual truth. As a parent of a young daughter myself, I am thoroughly enjoying this book. It reminds me of my daily experiences with my princess. For example, Brian shares about hearing the unexpected news of his wife being pregnant which, though wonderful, was mentally stressful because of finances, and how God used the pregnancy to abundantly bless their lives.
