My Birthday Wish

I am 37 years old today. It's pretty crazy to consider that I'm probably at least half way done with my race. Life is truly a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow (James 4:14).

Earlier this year, I struggled with a little depression from April to June. However, God used it for good. Out of my fire came one word, "Disciples." While being depressed, that was one of the only things that gave me joy. Going to small group and making disciples, meeting with students, seeing people get hungry for God and turn away from sin. Almost everything else during that time brought me low. As I consider starting the second half of this race (Lord willing), I'm excited to try to make more disciples for Christ than the first half. Thanks for sharing this journey with me. I love you, guys!

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:3-6)
